Hi,

Forgive me my probably stupid question. But is it possible to play Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3 on WiiU? I mean, download from store (I guess it has a store thing). If not, is there any other options besides hunting the original machines. I don't own Wii or WiiU but this might be something why I would buy.

Funny you ask, it was just announced yesterday that donkey kong country 1,2 and 3 are coming to the virtual console (the eshop for wii u/3ds)


So yes you can buy those off the eshop and play them on the wiiu. AND


there is a donkey kong country returns for wii (can be played on wiiu) and donkey kong tropical freeze (wiiu only) that came out, both are just as good as the originals


You can always download dk country 1,2,3 and play them on pc quite easily too if you want just cheapest way to play them, wiiu is a pretty great system though

Thanks, thinking about this makes me so happy I know I can always emulate them, but why wouldn't I pay for those great games during these days of horrific games. I mean I have the snes-versions, but more money is deserved from those games

Also one more question. Does WiiU have sneslike controller and will it work in those games, I just don't wanna play them with nunchaku.

and about wii-u controllers. it comes with the big one with the screen and a nunchuck when you buy it, you can buy a controller that is kind of shaped like the xbox controller, bit smaller and the joysticks are like ps3 positions - its sweet.

keep in mind certain controllers will not work with certain games. The wiiu pro controller does not work on wii eshop if im not mistaken. And the wii classic controller you linked doesnt work with some wiiu on eshop games. Pretty awful on nintendos end

I got one of these and they work great, your able to use them on wii games on ur wii u. same with eshop games.
I only paid 25$ with shipping for mine though
