Why is Olimar banned?

Its an serverly overpowered character
it is also banned in all tournaments ect
same with Metaknight

Long story short;

Every fighting game is unbalanced, it's impossible to make one balanced, so therefore characters are naturally better than one another. A tier list is a general idea of which are better than which.

It's just funny to me. Whenever my friends play Brawl, I always pick Falcon and just try and Falcon Punch everyone since I never bothered to try and win.
