im deciding on a final team for platinum... id like to hear pros and cons of having either or in my team since i didnt choose piplup as a starter and im playing untwinked (not trading from wifi)

Milotic most deff.
Looks cool, it has a great special ability

But I would choose Gyarados

I already told him to pick Milotic... but then I said I would choose Gyarados... idc if it was on the option or not, it was just my opinion.

Milotic is MUCH better.

Miltotic is sexy

doesnt answer the pro's and con's portion of my question... i understand that milotic has better attacks. but strategically i can see the benefit of gastrodon too. being able to nerf lightning attacks is of great benefit.

But then think of it as this way.
Milotic has more life, more attack power, idk about deffense, more speed than Gast.
The only pro about Gast is that it can endure lightning
but if somebody uses grass on it, Gast will take 4x the damage since its ground + water.
And if any other type of attacks hit them, Milotic is the one thats mostly going to endure them.
Milotic has a useful special ability also. Where as Gastrodon is neautral.

And I think if Gast. is hit with water move it'll be normal dmg. Since he's also ground type... idk, not sure.
