I am doing a little experiment, i will not tell you my progress till after ppl vote, but i started out choosing cyndaquil. I am using ONLY him for combat, other pokes for obvious reasons (HMS).

How far do you think i will get, and Cyndaquil is possibly the best starter for soloing. Let me know, ive been playing 4 hours 3 minutes on my file.

you can pretty much beat the whole game with 1 pokemon, but I'll vote E4 just in case

with a single fire pokemon? Beat thru all + legens + ash

I dont think i will beat ash tbh, he has a blastoise.......

^^^ that is why i chose cyndaquil, havent checked out the elite four info yet, i havent played crystal in god knows how long

that game was so fucking gay for me -.-

i had gold and i think it was fucked becuase i beat elite 4 like 50 times my highest pokemon was like lvl 80 and it could beat the whole team by itself but every time i ebat it they still didnt let me go through the place it was so gay and my brother who ebat on crystal tryed different things and it still didnt work. and than i got crystal and got a litlle far but it was just boring by than so i said fuck it and quit.

no i didnt have to use pots casue it was easy

Ive only used one pot, it was when i had to fight Croconaw from rival

i think you can beat ash but i gonna give move hints to use.
