I bought a R4 for my ds and a sandisk 1gb memory thingie.

When i put the r4 in and turn o nthe power it says couldn't find_DS_Meny.Dat did i mess up bad?

also do I need any form of emulator to be able to run stuff on the r4

oh i putthe thingie in my comp and i can't really undersand the intructions...



R4 Manual
1) Hardware Installation
Connect the TF card to PC with the card reader, then, go to the "/SYSTEM" directory on the disk.
A- Loading the game kernel: Copy the "_DS_MENU.DAT" at the directory of the simplified game kernel/ traditional game kernel to the root directory of TF card.
B- Loading the media kernel: Copy the "moonshl" folder and the "_DS_MSHL.NDS" file at the "moonshell" directory to the root directory of TF card;
C- Load the DIY interface: Copy all the folders "_system_" to the root directory of the TF card.


if anyone can simplify this for me since I don't get it I'll offer a fg compensation ^^

My way of doing it

1. Put the micro sd card into the TF USB, then plug that to your pc USB slot
2. Go to my computer and find that removable drive(i'll call it H), right-click and format it.
3. Go into that drive(H), Download the latest kernel, and highlight all folders and files inside and drag it/C&P to the drive H. (See my image #1)
4. Create a folder for games or songs, there you will put roms inside the folder. (See #2)
5. Remove the USB. take out the micro sd card and put it in your R4 > DS
6. Select the game folder then select the game you want to play.

it's a cartiage for the DS where you can listen to songs, play games , movies i dink or no.
