If say kijiji or fb etc, does the ps4 menu total system wipe/reinstall work or would someone be able to access my psn account? I only have the free premium games and like one other and it seems like having games doesn't affect what they're selling for anyway.

Just wanted to make sure selling it won't somehow come back to haunt me if I end up getting a ps5 or just in general (remove payment and change email prior to full reboot/installation or do I need to do some kind of USB flash for it to be properly done?).

Its prob best to do a system wipe but I would remove your credit card info if it’s linked to your account in case PlayStation gets hacked down the road. If the games you were mentioning are digital games, you wouldn’t be able to pass it on to the next fella without giving him your account. Maybe download one hard copy game in case they want proof it actually works lol

I didn't know that you can download a physical copy, or are you saying pirate/burn one? I've heard too many stories of people bricking it just from a DVD if there's not a legitimate way to create a copy.

I'm fine just creating a new email and swapping all the library games/account too, just wondering about possible reversals or access points. I don't know what's possible to glean from consoles tbh but even as a kid I remember picking through every file of a supposedly fresh windows 95 486 install and finding leftovers....

Nah the disc version. I download all of mine from the psn store for example
Wiping just gives the new owner as much space as possible and it’s faster to do than deleting the games/apps individually

So how do you create the burned copies that won't brick the console/be falsely flagged as illegitimate - and can you with the monthly free ones? Might not be understanding what you mean exactly

All good! Yeah so I don’t want to travel to the store so I buy my games from the PlayStation store, legit copies of the game, but it’s just super convenient right. I was just saying when I bought my ps4 used I had the guy show me the console worked by playing a random video game just to confirm it wasn’t broken

You can't burn them. The only way to pass them on after selling your console without keeping your account on there is by giving the physical copy of the game.
