Hey so we're trying to get our ps4 up and running. Everything went smoothly but now my sons want to play NHL 2019 against each other. Trouble is, only one controller will work at a time. I've tried a few things, but how do I solve this? I've used the P button to set up each controller, but only one controller can be used at a time on the screen. How do I fix this?

E: OK, we may have figured this out. I was trying to sign in as guest and *then* sign in via phone because that's where the screen took me. However I needed the 2nd remote to *not* sign in. So if anyone plays games solo the BLUE (1st) remote will be connected up to the account for saving stuff. Hopefully both will work online without a 2nd account being needed. Sheesh

You can make a second account for free, which is probably what you will want to do anyway. It will make nearly every multiplayer game easier to play

I'll make sure to do that. For now both controllers are working but I'll make sure to set it up for MP, ty

Yea you need two accounts. Don’t need two psn accounts though

glad it's solved, also note that if you have 1 PSN on the "Main account" Than you get PSN for every account you make on the playstation so only need to buy it once.
