I have to manually turn off my modem/router once a week for about a minute, turn it back on, let it fully boot up, turn my ps4 on and its back to open

I dont know what all those technical terms are lol
I just know after a week of playing cod my nat type will go from open to moderate and i cant join games or itll take forever to get into a lobby, so ill shut everything off, unplug my modem for a minute, boot it all back up and when im back online, ill turn my ps4 on and ill be back to open nat

As he said, he's talking about literally just releasing/renewing the ip with a reset and obtaining open. This has also worked for me, but it always goes back to moderate in a matter of minutes/hours or days, no matter what I do. I did the same as you and tried all the more complicated (not really complicated, but technical) fixes and had zero success with those methods. It's a pain in the ass really, but it never mattered to me. My net is garbage, even when it's good. If I get 100/10 internet, I still can tell that I have a terrible connection compared to other people, and I have no fucking clue why. I just gave up on ever having a good connection. One of these days I'll move somewhere with fiber available and we'll see if I'm just cursed, or if I'm way better than I already am when I'm not playing at a ridiculous disadvantage.

I’m actually contemplating bridge moding my 2 in 1 router/modem and getting another router or something for WiFi so I won’t have a nat at all

I’m just confused as to how I can get open with Xbox easily but not ps4. Must be some difference in the systems connecting through the router
