According to googles it sounds like something is on lens
I unfortunately think it is a piece of resin (lmao)
Are the slims very hard to open and access the lens? I remember my ps3 had plastic cover on lens that made it tricky to put back together

I once openned a ps4 controller to try to fix the R1 button. It was an adventure. Unfortunately the controller won. I bought a new one.

No it's not tricky at all. But as said above, according to your history it's probably better that you just return it to warranty.
