Most games I have been playing run so fast that I can't see all the frames (human eye can't see anything above 24fps - also 24 fps is the like reality. Anything above that looks just silly). Is there a way to artificially slow down the game's framerate? I don't want to miss critical frames.

The human eye can see more then 24 frames per second.

My suggestion would be seek medical help. There might me more at play here.

But 24 frames is movielike experience :) More than that and it already feels weird Something between 12 and 24 would be the best :)

Won't you also think that less is more? At least game developers have noticed this and more and more games are actually now made at movie framerate (12-24 that is)

The first part of you statement is baseless.
Please provide objective proof developers have noticed a lower frame rate is better, or in your turn of phrase, less is more.

And again - you are confused with standard def. TV.
