It's a click bait headline.
It basically boils down to if ignore all optimization it performs worse on the Pro.

Perhaps. I just assumed if I put the same game in both consoles, it would run better on the pro with upgraded hardware. Sad to say I was wrong. Silly me for assuming...

That is true though. I don't think you are understanding.
Run the games normally, PS4 Pro is better.
