deluxe edition is selling for 40$ on the store... me and my friend want to buy it but i want your opinion first

heard the game is a bit like farcry is that true?

is it repetitive ? good story ?

I enjoyed it for about 4 hours. If that's worth $40, go for it.

It's ridiculously repetitive and tedious. Dying is pretty much impossible unless you go running around at night (at the end of the game you'll be able to kill everything there too if you feel like it) and the main story line was just garbage, especially the last encounter. Some of the side missions are cool, and some of the secret weapons you can find are fun to fuck with (they do however make the scale drop from a 3 to a 1 on a scale of 1-10 for how difficult of a game it is). Ya, running around and jumping everywhere is cool for a minute and then it's not. I think I put 8 hours in total and had 100% completion on the main line and 70% of side quests completed. I was bored way before I had put the 8 hours in, but I kept playing it as I didn't have anything else at that particular moment to hold my interest.

If you're looking for a game to just fuck around with your buddy for a couple of hours, it's not a terrible choice and you'll get at least a night or two of enjoyment out of it. Sometimes that's worth $40.
