Hey guys,

I just got a PS4 not too long ago (got it from someone on Craigslist) and I've noticed that it's been making weird beeping noises over and over again in the back of the console.

Is it normal for a PS4 to make noise while off? Mine makes a soft but constant pitched noise when its off and plugged in. It's a pretty faint beeping sound, but it's definitely there. The best I can describe is intermittent beeps, over and over. If i disconnect the power cord the sound goes away. What could be causing this to happen?

Any help would be great on how to fix this.

Thanks in advance.

try propping up the front slgihtly form the sides see if it helps
ive been reading up that the disc ejecvtion problem could be caused by they eject buttom being pried on under the system as a foot
if its beeping it could be pressing the eject button over and over and its beeping?

other then that googling your issue seems to be sorta rare but seems to be an issue people had after a firmware update

are you fully updated?

idk what it really is tbh though man gl hope you get it fixed
thats why i dont buy shit from cl and stuff :( hlaf the time shtts for sale on there becasue its not working properly

if its like 3 beeps when you shut it down thats normal but if u got more then that thats not

most likely its the eject button
even with the system unplug my console would still make the beeping sound

so wat i did is, i took 4 coasters put them on each corner of the console to prop it up, so the eject button not hitting the shelf

ive never had that so just out of curiosity i was pushing on the foot of the eject button
sure shit it made my ps4 turn on and eject the disc lol

what a crappy build flaw  thats pretty fuckin fail

although i did have to push pretty hard and backwards i dont see how setting it on it would trigger it
maybe if they slide it forward a lot it could kinda pry the button

Mine makes the same sound when it does the eject glitch in the middle of the game. It will continuously eject until you shut down the system, unplug, then plug it in after about a minute. That generally makes it stop. But that doesn't sound like your problem.
