I had planned on just picking up the Sony Gold edition wireless headset since it could be folded down. I figured I'd do a little research and people seem to like everything about it except the microphone quality which everyone says is pretty bad.

Does anyone have or used this headset? I'm not looking for streamer quality voice... but I definitely want to be understood when I'm speaking.

If it is really that bad.. are there any other wireless options around the $100.00 mark? Besides those Turtle Beach ones that plug into the Ps4 remote... That doesn't work for me lol.

Any info / links to other headsets would be awesome. Unless the voice quality is just absolutely horrible I'll probably grab that headset since I can pack it away easily.

wireless gold is amazing and none of my friends have problems hearing me i own it

I also have wireless gold... works fine for me....
even when I was streaming bloodborne with it....

i doubt therws any real issue with the mic on the golds
the ps3 little bluetooth things worked fine
the cheap headphone cord one that comes with the ps4 works fine and people understand me np

really doubt the gold would have issues

If u arnt trying to hear somebody's footsteps in a shooter, or live stream, any $20 USB mic/headset works just fine.
I always thought that fancy crap was a waste of money, I never even got any complaints when using the little earbud mic that came with ps4. I only swapped because it would get a little uncomfortable after a couple hours.

i love my gold because it is also wireless for my pc

Alright guess I'll give it a try. I found some audio reviews and everyone loves the sound. The mic sound I hear was pretty bad, but every one of those people had it hooked up to a computer. That could be the difference. Guess I'll buy it and see for myself. Always forget about the fact I can just return stuff lol.
