So I'm getting this thing to add a 3TB drive to my ps4

http://www.amazon.com/Nyko-Data-Bank-playstation-4/dp/B00UA55ZRI

my question is is there any way to 100% move my old drive to my new one using a pc and connecting the drives

Yeah simply back up old drive using an external hard drive, then restore on the new one.

my friend actually has hardware to 100% clone the drive as if it originally existed on my new one

Yeah but if you literally do nothing to your drive but take it out and put it back in you lose everything because it will force you too format. Wether you make a copy or not.

were not copying using a whole system to basically clone the drive and reprogram the new one to read as the old one

Yup. It won't work. :)

I am saying you literally can do absolutely nothing to your drive, take it out and put it back in, and it will force you to format.
If you take your drive out of your ps4 without backing it up be warned, you will lose everything.
