How about this, i'll break it down a little differently..as if this was a report for a class..extra credit here I come! Lol
And also state that I don't really think there's an average age for people who play video games..just about everyone in the world no matter what age race or gender they are..Everyone plays or even played some type of video game at one point or another..wether its on a laptop..desktop..playstation..xbox..Wii..iPad..iPhone..android, hell..even a slot machine is considered a video game, perfect example..video poker..and we all know grandmas and grandpas across the globe love those things..every one plays something regardless of the platform.

My bestest and longest friend on PSN is 38 and he's like me..he's been playing since forever and he typically plays a game just about everyday..him and a few others are on my FB and I can attest that most are in their late 20s and early 30s

My dad is in his early 60s and he plays video games on his iPad, android phone and his desktop ..not as much as i play my PlayStation but he still likes to pass the time every so often with some sort of video game, mind stimulation..

My gf is a few years older than me and she'll throw on some bejeweled 3 and angry birds once in a while, a little mahjong here and there..

Her kids are 11 and 14 and they like to play video games too if the weather isn't nice to go outside and play

Their uncle is 42 and he likes to plays sports games on Xbox and ps3, he even admits to playing candy crush and trivia crack on his android phone
