Hey guys i was wondering if anyone has put an sshd or an ssd in their ps4 and has seen some real improvements.
I know some benchmarks have shown that sshd or ssd improved load times but i wanna know if its worth it. Considering dropping a 500 gb sshd or a 240gb ssd in my ps4, but wanted to hear some first hand experience before i put up the money.

he's not doing it for space, he's doing it for better load times

No first hand experience but for me personally, the cost of an ssd is way to high for only a theoretical improvement of a couple seconds. Also, with 30 gig installs being the norm these days I would hard pressed to go smaller then 500 gigs.

I havent looked too into it yet, but for games i buy physical only and only ps4 exclusives [I have top geared pc] so i thought if games stayed small enough, i could get away with 240gb because realistically ill only have 10-15 games installed on ps4 after a few years.

well a 240 gb ssd is about 80 bucks. Currently I have a used one here that I could simply re-use if 240gb is enough.
otherwise, a 500gb SSHD is 60 bucks. 80 bucks for the 1tb. [Just dont think ill need 1tb]
However ill be able to sell the old hard drive for something like 30 bucks i think, lowering cost a little.

bloodborne is one of the biggest offenders. I know theyre sposed to patch the loadings, but i still think they will be long.

If I was to buy a harddrive... then I would have to upgrade to 1Tb or 2Tb size... because we all know that installing games on the PS4 takes up way too much space... 50gb for Evil Within WTF

yes even with the Disk... WTF installing a game on ps3 was like 1-10 gb and now every game I buy is insane amount of space to store on the harddrive

PS3 games had the potential to go above 20GB, not many devs made use of that though except maybe for some exclusives
but now both systems deal with disks with about 50GB of space or so
