i am playing re revelations2 on the ps4 with my bro

my bro sign in as player one, and im signed in as player2 using my vita

how come im not getting trohphies and it probably didnt save the mission

maybe he already beat it and got them?or you have to start fresh just you 2?
i have no idea just thoughts of what it might be
