So I just bought a Ps4 and everything was going great, it downloaded the system update/patch in a matter of seconds and then i set up my account and everything worked fine. Now i am trying to download my games and I am getting horrible download speeds... I am getting 1 MB every 2 minutes at times ( it says 99+ hours remaining on downloads).

I have a 50 MB/S DL speed, and it works perfectly fine for all of my computers, phones, Ps3, Xbox 360, Xbox one ETC... But for some reason it's absolute shit for my Ps4. I've searched online for a little bit and come to find out it is a fairly common problem and there are quite a bit of people with the same issue... With that being said it seems like there aren't many fixes for it..

I've tried some of the more common ones with no luck, I changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 then 208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220 and it's still doing the same thing. I have no clue what to do and if there is no fix I will just take the Ps4 back and get my money back because this is absolutely unplayable..

Any help would be appreciated.. I'm planning on calling sony support tomorrow but from what i've heard they just give you a standard bullshit answer with no real solution.. I will send FG to anyone who solves my problem if they'd like.. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hard wire your ps4 to the internet
Change the channel your modem/router is set to
Too many nearby users are probably on the same one
Sounds like you have a lot of devices hooked up to one network as well..try getting a dual band router (if you're not already using one)

There a programs available to sniff what is on each channel, then you can choose which one is least populated - keeping in mind not every channel supports wifi.
