Alright guys, after playing and beating dying light in 3 days i thought id share my experiences with you. The game is a mixture of dead island and assassins creed. its a huge open world with lots of weapons and the free running is crazy. I think the game was very well thought out and was pretty fun. i do believe they should have added more guns but i guess you wouldn't really want to use guns much when there are hordes of zombies that lock onto you the second you shoot.
Weapons : as far as weapons go there are tons of them. you get more after each level and the farther you get the bigger variate you get. Weapons are made to break and have a certain amount of repairs before there useless(guns dont break but the amount of ammo you can carry is kinda low). Also theirs only 4 types of guns in the game 1 pistol, 1 shotgun, and 2 assault rifles that are exactly the same (ones stronger tho). but to be honest the farther you get the stronger the zombies and the less you will want to use guns (they make alot of noise and arent super strong unless you hit the zombie in the head). your better off with a high level machete/ melee weapon.
Story line/Missions : i have to say the story line was f*cking awesome. i really liked it but on the downside its really short and if you stick to main missions you can beat the game in 2 days easily. With that being said this game is like any other, do the side missions and explore alot and the game will last a long time. try not to rush to soon into the game because you will find your self at the end real quick and going back to do side missions that will benefit you very little. id say enjoy it and go slow.
Skills : there are 3 skill types Power, Agility, Survivor. pretty much self explanatory . the more you free run the faster your agility goes up, the more you fight the faster you power goes up, and the longer you survive and use your environment (traps) the higher the survivor skill goes up. id say work on power so you get some really cool fighting skills and try to freerun alot at night (beware first time is very nerve wrecking)
Crafting For crafting there are many items you can craft. all crafting material is weightless and you can carry as much as you want (back pack spaces are used only for weapons). its extremely common and id say pick up everything. also blueprints for weapon mods are very helpful and upgrade you weapons freely. also dont save upgrade mods. you'll find them fast and weapons break easily. you'll make the game harder if you save them.
Tips : craft Molotov's when ever you can and use them on big hordes of zombies (extremely useful on the bridge early on in the game) it will shoot up your power level for some really helpful executions and stuff.
Overall : game was fun and id recommend it. havent played live much so dont know how fun it will be but ill test it tonight.
any questions about the game ask below. i didnt go into much detail. also share your experiences if you have played it.
