tldr left the ps3 in the car overnight in like 5 degree fahrenheit weather

it turns on... says shit's corrupted... hit okay and try to load oblivion... it reboots or w/e and freezes

that shouldnt damage it ive fallen asleep in the middle of winter with my windows open my room got cold as balls....multiple times
if it says its corrupt youll prob have to try reformatting the harddrive but try reinstalling oblivions game data first

is it the disc or do we need to factory reset the ps3?

go to game save data under games and delete oblivions big file (smaller ones are most likely saves if there under 20mb)
then reinstall the shit from the disc if that doesnt work you prob gotta wipe your harddrive(reformat) and start fresh
and if that doesnt work you prob need a new hd

Start in safe mode and rebuild the database.

It's been awhile so I can't remember exactly how to do it but Google it.

put it in the oven at 450 degrees for 45min to warm it up

aka turn it on for 5 minutes
