So im nearly a 29 hunter and i've finally decided to try the vault of glass

Anyone who has done it mind giving some tips on how it works or such before i find a team, i don't want to drag them down

what elements/heavy weapon etc.. will i need

Gunslinger or bladedancer (guessing gun on this one for pve)

Any tactics i should know about

and the approximate time (3-5hrs right?)

Thanks, good advice, i also received the dodge bullets and missiles advice as well, im feeling more prepared by the minute

Void weapons for vex.

Bring synthesis packs for ammo.

Hard hitting with lots of ammo helps too.

The raid isn't so much difficult because of the toughness of enemies as it is because the sheer amount of pretty tough enemies. You can be rolling along kicking ass then all of a sudden there's 4 minotaurs and 6 harpies on you and nothing you can do

Edit: I'd also bring weapons that can take down any form of shield, fire for red, void for purp, and arc for blue

It isn't rough. If you group up with some decent players, you will be fine. We did it last night in about 3-3.5 hours with 4 raid virgins. You just need to be able to listen and adjust at times. We have 4 lvl 28 players and 2 lvl 27s so being 29 will be fine indeed. Most enemies are the 26-28 range.

You'll be more upset having to re upgrade raid gear.

Find a group of 28+ on the bungie site and it's cake.
