So my Playstation 3 been has been screaming with a loud fan type of noise really sucks. Does this mean only way to fix it is to buy a new one? I have no idea how to stop the annoying noise anybody have similar problem before or fixed this?

Hard drive is taking a poop.

There a couple things you can do before buying a new one.
If it is the hard drive, that is an easy swap. A bit time consuming to transfer all your data but it is easy to do.
There is a way to increase the fan speed and try and blow the dust. If you have never done this it is possible there is so much dust built up it is impeding the fan.

yeah u like hold eject and hit power to turn on the ps3 and it makes ur fans run really fast i did it once n it shot a bunch of dust out the back lol
peopel say its bad for the ps3 though becasue it makes it overheat to make the fans go... but i did it when my ps3 was off overnight and theres no way it was going to overheat in like the 30 secs it did it
also lots of ppl that say those ppl are retards so... choose your side and do what ya do lol
