My PS3 somehow has the YLOD I haven't played it all day but now the eject and power buttons do not work and when I turn it on it instantly beeps at me flashes the yellow light then goes into a flashing red light.
Most user's online just say the YLOD is caused by overheating and the parts with the thermal paste cracking but mine is still cool and undamaged so I honestly don't believe its overheating and think it is a hardware failure. I'd like to be able to recover my save data but if anyone's had any experience recovering a console from this that would be appreciated!

I don't know what I am looking at in that pic but there is those small repair shops that advertise they fix consoles. You can take it there, get them to fix it, and then backup your data?
