so ya, i read that when it's charging it's suppose to pulsate orage slowly but mine is solid blue

Was your controller on or off at the time u noticed this.. I always turn them off when I charge them
And One of the last system updates did something with the light bar on the controller not sure if it affected the charging status though

Mine is only orange if the controller is off. If i charge it while playing its blue

Are you charging it using your ps4 or somewhere else?

but why would u charge the controller while it's off anyway
