If you want to deactivate it, you will need to contact sony (phone or live chat works fine). There is also a way on the website, but its not working well. So when i need to deactivate mine, im just calling sony. They will only ask your email (the one you are using for your psn account), PSN ID, phone number and your name (you can give any phone number or name, it doesnt matter they wont do anything). Then they will deactivate it, it takes like 5 minutes max.
So choosing deactivate on your ps4 does nothing? Wtf is it there for then...
