Do I need wifi to play with a buddy sitting right next to me? Our internet is out and I'm about to pick borderlands 2 up.

Looking at the PS and Gamefaqs forums, BL2 for the Vita doesn't seem to have ad hoc. :angry:

i remember seeing stuff at release saying that it may not have ad hoc, so internet would be required
