Yes you can.

Edit: You can have 2 active ps3s per account and 2 others that are deactivated from the site, but that gets a bit confusing for some people.

Make sure you are able to use that PS3 in the future because if not you can get your account forever linked to that PS3.

He'd be able to deactivate it via the website every 6 months if it ever came down to being needed.

Edit: I used to do it all the time with ps3 accounts to share games and in the end, split the cost of them. It works on the ps4 as well, but not as well as the ps3 due to the primary console crap.

You can do it as many time as you want. They says once every 6 month but if you keep calling sony sometimes they dont check and they just deactivate it. Trust me, i did it like 50 times in 1 year haha

Yeah, you can call as a last resort. I've heard stories about them banning people who did it too much, but I've never seen any proof of it.
