Thoughts? Reviews?

Are they worth it? Are they fun? I know new version 2000 series comes out soon with LED screen and slimmer. Comparison?

The hardware sales are soft but it has a really good attach rate.
Meaning people who buy Vita's are buying 7-9 games, there's just not as many people buying Vita's.

I love my Vita. There are a couple games that are just amazing and a lot of decent filler games too.
Don't expect it to replace a console experience but it is a great addition.

The difference between the original and the 2000 is the OLED screen was replaced with an LCD (not LED) and the rear touchpad was made smaller. The LCD screen grants you 2 more hours of battery life. It's thinner and subsequently lighter. It also has 1gb internal memory, whereas the original has none. 1gb will not get you very far though.

My advice is look at some of the games. If it something you feel you will invest your time into then it's worth it.

http://www.vgchartz.com/analysis/platform_totals/Tie-Ratio/Global/

Vgchartz has the tie-ratio for psvita at 2.7 which isn't bad but still pretty far from 7-9

for comparison sake the 3ds (which sells like hot cakes) at 3.0 so 2.7 is good, and the tie ratio usually goes up as we get further into each gen

Vgchartz is inaccurate in so many respects it's not even worth the speculation it fosters in threads like this

I really hate that site for comparison because it doesn't take into consideration digital sales accurately at all.
And yes, direct quote from the Sony press confrence is "people are buying more then 10 games".

not a ton of exclusive games

so there mostly indy games and ps3 ports

if you own a ps4/ps3 and have psn plus i would say get one

there are some cross buy games and having psn plus you get alot of free games

oled psv>lcd slimmer psv

I personally love my Vita. It's nearly payed for itself with PS+. I bought mine because at the time, I was doing a lot of travelling, but nearly as soon as I bought it, I stopped. Mainly just play it when I'm too lazy to get out of bed in the AM, or sometimes right before I go to sleep.

When I bought mine I didn't expect it to replace a console experience, it just happened naturally
