I heard about the service pack download I think it was 4.55 was messing ps3's up so I stopped the automatic update to save me any trouble. My question is, is psn network back up and is it safe for me to now update my ps3? Any insight on the situation would be smashing, thanks.

I think only one person here reported a problem and iirc they managed to fix it. Everyone else didn't have any problems.

well, i updated it the minute it was put out.. and i never had any problem whatsoever.
