so I was playing killzone maybe 40minutes ago and I exited the game, then my vita went into sleep mode, I went to do a few things on my laptop, I looked over at my vita and the PS button was lit up blue, not blinking, just solid blue, I go to turn the screen on and I cant. I tap/hold in the PS button and nothing, I tap/hold in the power button and nothing! has this happened to anyone before? is there a solution without corrupting anything?

Hard reset. Just press and hold the power button for ~30 secs. When you reboot after it will go into safe mode like ps4 then all will be fine

Its a hardware issue. its happened to me. just had to go out and buy another 1

ok it wasn't blue light of death, youtube says it has to be blinking blue light to be considered death, mine was solid blue
I had to hold in the power button for like 20seconds before it rebooted, my gosh! I thought I was screwed there, PHEW!

me too bro, if anything ever seriously malfunctions with my ps3 and/or vita im just going to quit gaming altogether

How was your first thought not to turn it off/on. That could be rule #1 for troubleshooting all electronics next to Is it plugged in.
