CWCheat Tutorial by kebramar

(Get a hand on your handheld's games)


Introduction:

CWCheat is a trainer for the Playstation Portable that let you, while in game, use cheats, take screenshots, toggle USB connection, between other things.
You can use it while playing PSP (UMD, .iso or .cso) or PSX games (.eboot).
Also, CWCheat can be used while playing a game under iRShell. (check note 1#).


Tutorial Steps:

Step 1:

. Go to http://cwcheat.consoleworld.org/
. Download the last version available

(check note 2#)

Step 2:

. Open the INSTALL folder and copy the cwcheat folder to ms0 > seplugins

Or INSTALL_371 if you are running the CFW 3.71 M33

. Add the code line, ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx to ms0 > seplugins > game.txt (note 3# and 4#)
. Add the code line, ms0:/seplugins/cwhceat/cwcheatpops.prx to ms0 > seplugins > pops.txt (note 3# and 4#)

You do not need to add the game150.txt (ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx) to your seplugins folder

Step 3:

. Create a folder on ms0 > PSP > PHOTO named Capture (it's where your screenshots will be after using its feature)

Step 4:

. Enable the cwcheat.prx [GAME] plugin on flash0 > Plugins
. Enable the cwcheatpops.prx [POPS] plugin on flash0 > Plugins

Step 5:

. While playing PSP (UMD, .iso or .cso) or PSX games (.eboot) press SELECT for 3 seconds to access the CWCheat In-Game Menu
. Use the Select Cheats feature to see, enable or disable them


Notes:

Note 1#: iRShell is a multi-tasking shell for the PSP (http://irshell.org/)

Note 2#: You can update the CWCheat database (cheat or cheatpops) by replacing it on ms0 > seplugins > cwcheat. You can also add cheats manually. For that, open the cheat or cheatpops file with Notepad and add the code having in mind that G means the game name, CO the cheat name and L the cheat code

Note 3#: Make the seplugins folder if you don't have it on ms0

Note 4#: Make the .txt files if you don't have them on ms0 > seplugins


CWCheat Costumization:

. I advice you to change the CWCheat in-game menu background (to black). To do it, go to Settings and enable the Clear menu background setting
. You can also change the screenshot action button on Settings > Change buttons




This CWCheat Tutorial is meant to be used while playing non infrastructure games/mode.
