This genuinely hurts my heart, to think back on my christmas’s as a young youth, opening up a brand new video game from under the tree or maybe even on a birthday or just a day my fiance decided to surprise me with a new game just because it was Tuesday or something, all those tangible experiences, something you can actually hold will just be a faded memory, thats so sad man, I grew up playing video games, I had an Atari 2600 growing up in my house and then onto the original NES and so on and so forth, and theyre killing that from us, from our kids (I dont have any but still) and their kids, so on and so forth, actual life moments and experiences on holidays and birthdays and anydays, now its all going to be temporary license agreements we pay for, $80 and up for rentals, I could go on and on as we all could how this industry is anti-consumer and whatnot but its all for nothing..so I will say this boys and girls
My video game days ends with the PS5!
This is where i gracefully bow out of this hobby
It was a good solid run but I refuse to let them take away and kill off something I love and cherish close to my heart
Its more than just going all digital, this is where they monoplize the industry and have complete control over what we pay for and can take it away from us at any given moment, I wont be apart of it, goodluck to those blind enough to hang in there and ride it out
I wont stop my gaming, Im just going to stick with what I have until I one day lose complete interest or finish everything I have, I play less and less as the time goes by so to wanna keep buying into an anti-consumer gaming market where we have basically no consumer protection rights seems utterly wasteful to me, I have better things I can spend my money on that will remain mine forever!
