yeah i've got a 52" older big screen that i play games on and a 48" new flat screen in my room that i just watch movies on while i lay in bed. i'll try hooking my ps3 up there tomorrow and see if it changes anything

i have something around that size, and it was an older SD one, the sides were cut off and it was kinda fuzzy, but on my new 32" for my room i can see it all clearly.
but definitely try switching tvs to see if it solves the problem. if it does then there's nothing wrong with the game, it's probably made that way anyways to make older tvs obsolete

What do you mean by legendary?

legendary is the highest upgrade you can get for armor.
so you craft it and lets say it gets 40 armor at base, then you can upgrade it to fine, superior, exquisite and so on, legendary being the highest. but that in itself is just a name, you can get higher stats with higher smithing and +smithing gear.

@qvp what do you use for gear on smithing, enchanting and alchemy and how many upgrade pots did you make to get your stats?
my current 100 enchant/smithing only gets me +40% bow and +62 health.
not that the 3 health is more but that 5% x 4 = 20% more damage and that would be very nice.

my current daedric bows do 217 with either fire/frost enchantments at 31 dmg per or 20 life leech with 5 sec paralyze

e: do you use glass due to appearance preference?
i'm currently using full dragon set since it offers highest def without going into alchemy upgrading yet since i only have 100 smithing/alch but i went up the heavy smithing side to get daedric gear so i currently do not have any points spec'd into light armor crafting, but it's probably not too hard to find and buy glass gear.

also i have a questionm why is it that when i use +% smithing gear to make my gear it's lower than not wearing any, i know it helps when upgrading but shouldn't it help when crafting them too?

i have zero points into the smithing tree. that being said.

all my gear is found items. i enchanted a set of gear +100% on four items for upgrading my gear/weapons and then i use a +50% potion for smithing (also found or bought) have no points into alchemy either.

i use glass cause it gets me to the defence limit and i dont have to put points into smithing.

edit: i use a +25% potion for echanting. Also bought or found

@azn; No, an iron dagger smithed at level 1 and 100 have the same stats, the level and +%'s only matter when upgrading.

Game was fun, currently level 57, beat the storyline and all the minor quests I could find... Game was way too easy tho. Didn't bother smithing + enchanting with alchemy til I had done everything =/ Might try re-playing through as a mage in very hard mode...

So, I am kind of confused on the whole upgrading my weapon and armor.

I can upgrade it's base damage/defence making it legendary at a grindstone/work bench, correct?
What are the per-requsites for this? Do I need 100 Smithing to go all the way to legendary?
Does my Smithing skill make a difference?

And, with 100 Enchanting I can throw two enchantments on there.
Do I randomly need to find another item I want in order to disenchant it or to use it's enchantment?

1) Correct.
2) Pre-reqs are just 1 of the ingot/material used to make the armor (it'll show) and don't really worry if it says legendary or not. It's just their way of rating it, but like +100% and +90000000% both show up as legendary if that makes sense... Higher smithing level, + smithing gear/pots, and having points set into smithing all effect how much it gets improved. It's very possible to get legendary with 1 (well, 1 isn't possible to my knowledge to have in any skill, so 10/15 whatever the min is) smithing.
3) Yes, for upgrading. Not with the base crafting.
4) When you disenchant an item, you learn the enchantment on it permanently. Not really sure what you're asking here...

So what is the highest +% to Smithing you can get?
Like, how much +% did qvp have to use to get into the 200's base damage on his bow?

I have 100 smithing and unlocked all smithing perks, and my light armor is like level 75 :\
