Hardly. Every ff game I've ever played....so since ff7. I've used a guide for.
Love running thru the game and not missing anything.
But sure, get upset cause someone does something different from you.
Games are just incredibly short and easy already. It's incredibly boring to play a game if there's no fear of dying at any point because you're over prepared for every twist and turn that could possibly come your way. I myself have always felt that using anything outside of your own prowess when playing a game, also diminishes that tingling sanctification you get when you've completely destroyed a game.
Games are short enough already... not to mention that nothing in a guide is going to actually get you good at the game lol. Just curious on this, with the FF7 guide, did it even cover Chocobo breeding, final limits, special arena, knights, mime, any of the end game bosses? My first time playing I was 7, so I obviously didn't make it very far. My first play-through that I remember vividly was when I was 12, and the entire game (with the exception of Ruby/Emerald) was a damn breeze. Figuring out how to beat those fuckers took me weeks of trial and error... Only reason I ever beat Emerald was by pure chance on figuring out his attack that does damage equal to the number of materia equipped.
