i just want to chime in and say that you really should get in touch with the store you purchased the pre order from and find out if it's still there. If they have documentation, you should ask for them to print something out for you.

Don't be a bad customer and expect everything to go as planned for an over a year old pre order, especially when you lose your proof of purchase......

A credit card transaction usually won't show specific information, just the retailer store name.



With 10 years experience working at Toys R Us, i can tell you that things like this happen all the time.

Yeah but still they are spending money at your store. So essentially when I come to your place of business and spend $, I'm paying your rent, food, car etc etc.

No one likes to hear that the money they spent is gone or that the stuff they bought is fucked up.

I don't disagree with you about the bitch ass customers, but at the end of the day you have to eat shit and kiss ass or you will loose that customer and probably some of his friends/family as well.

They most likely dont give a fuck about a single customer, and anyone stupid enough to preorder a game that hasnt had a release date yet will be stupid enough to pay the extra in the end, especially a year ahead of time
Not to mention it was predictable seeing as the games went from 59 to 69 to 74 to 79 within that time

The amount you deposit when preordering a game is also up to you

the buyer is hardly ever right. I'm not going to argue that because i have way more experience than you do. The amount of stories i can share is limitless. This customer is always right motto needs to end.

There's no reason to 100% rely on ANYONE in life. Grow up, be an adult, and take actions of YOUR actions. If you make a purchase, you better make sure you have any documentation needed for future transactions.

It's not about being a good or bad customer, it's about being a decent, responsible human being.

I don't know EB games store systems, but I can tell you that, at least a toys r us, the receipt database can only be looked up for 1 year prior for credit card transactions. (might be a few months more or less)

you have no idea what kind of bogus shit customers do or say to try and get their way. You're asking me if I own Toys r Us?.........no?........I did grunt work, part time for 10 years. I actually just gave my two weeks notice this weekend. I only worked part time there during high school/college and now i'm a manager at a plastic injection company.

I have every idea of what the "customer" means to a retail store, and I FULLY understand how much bullshit it is. Retail stores lose a ridiculous amount of money to the "customer is always right" policy. The world would be better if companies could actually have a backbone and stand up for themselves.

You can literally walk into toys r us, place a facing of items in front of a much cheaper price tag, and get it for that price.

You clearly don't understand retail systems. The associates barely have any control over the system database... they don't "lose" your information that's stored in the computer, it gets automatically deleted over time.

When I say I have more experience than you and you come back with insults, it clearly shows that i am right....
