So I guess the level cap from what I understand is level 40 with ~250-300 hours worth of [rumored] content raises concerns for scale of leveling.

Chakrams and the Stealth attacks seem OP to me.

Hmmm, thats slightly concerning for sure.

140k preorders is pretty large considering how far out it is

I agree. I was quickly looking through the one forum thread about the level cap and people were discussing how some played what they said "the demo". Although I think there was an exp boost to get more of the feel of the game. They said (I think the devs) the factions take 30 hours each (5 factions). The main story isn't thatt long of course, but i'm guessing they might have it down.

My guess is they do have it balanced out, but i'm hoping leveling is like more reward worthy rather then taking forever to level and lose the will to play/level or level way too fast I think may ruin it. The last skill tier? I think is opened up at level 35 if I recall.
One has said a person just grinded on mobs for 4 hours straight on "the demo" and hit level 10 (with hard mode and %1+ exp boost from what I understand).

For the few that were questioning the UI, like myself, it has been changed. Footage of some side quest gameplay. [Pretty sure this is quite close to the finished product] (Looks a lot better from Alpha/Pre-Alpha footage) *Looks a lot better in 720P

I like the voice acting, the graphics look smooth the art style is very reminiscent of an MMO but its a nice change of pace for the RPG genre.

I agree, but i'm not too crazy about your character not having any voice acting but with all the variables it would probably be quite hard and they probably packed the game full lol.

Just a little preview of the Pre-order bonus of the Fate's weapon pack. I didn't notice there was a "new" weapon type until now. The Scours, dual-bladed looking daggers.

So in a prior video sit-down with Ian, Sean and a gamespot person about Amalur. Ian said the Q&A team had a competition of doing everything (100% completion) while also being as fast as they can, (did everything including content, but skip dialogues and cutscenes, sprint to everywhere, never walking, never stealthing, easy mode [you get the idea]) which came up to 200 hours.

-- They worked on the game engine, tools, and basic architecture under THQ, but they fell on hard times and were going to let Amalur go. 38 Studios bought them and at that time Curt already worked with Todd, RA Salvatore and created the world of Amalur for an MMO. Curt asked them if they could make a single-player RPG in this [Amalur] world. To get people to into it and to know and love Amalur well before the MMO comes out.
