I would say it takes less skill than the other fighting games
70% of it is pretty much a guessing game and if you guess wrong you will lose 1/3rd of your health only to be put into another guessing game right after
it does take skill
just less than sf or tekken

my opinion of course

I understand there are bad matchups in fighting games but you have to focus WAY more against a bad matchup in mk
there are matchups in mk where the focus can be 80% you and 20% them
You'll never find that in another fighting game

Characters that are fun to play are less rewarding than the simple braindead characters
