Not really it's a really easy fight. I'd recommend getting ignis skill that enchants your weapon for more damage and that one skill that guarantees crits from short range warp strikes. That fight is just time consuming he rarely attacks and when he does its really easy to dodge.

just max out your str. use enhance, get food that guarantees every hit is a critical, use prompto piercer

No. The game basically starts where the movie ends. It's continuing the same story. The movie basically is what happened while Prince Noctis was away and the game is the story of Prince Noctis and his journey after the movie ends basically.

Honest opinions please.

Is this game worth buying? Is the combat actually enticing or is it just a going through the movements type of combat. Are there any difficult moments in the game?

I'm really considering buying this for myself after I finish my play-through of FF1

The combat is the saving grace cause the story is all over the place.

Combat and core mechanics of the game are the highlight definitely. In contrast to some other FF titles it's a very open game from the get go for better or for worse. I'm about 20 hours in but the vast majority has been sidequesting. Can't really comment too much on the story at this point but I am really enjoying it

I'm about 9 hours in. Just got second king weapon from end of chapter 2. Everything has been real easy. I do have the guide and following it to a tee. Doing all side quests before moving on helps immensely.

Ewww using a guide. Might as well have someone else beat it for you.
