Cod is for handicapped retards who can't handle the depth of bf3

My room mate being the prime example. He is a huge cod fan and when I showed him bf3 he fell in love. The next day I see him playing mw3 again so I ask him why mw3 and not bf3, his reply was "bf3 is so much harder"

BF has always been in the shadows of other shooters. Counter-strike, then Halo, then COD.



They also brought great gun mechanics, smooth gameplay, great matchmaking system, etc. They did a lot of things right. MW3 is an improvement over COD4. But if you really want to be ignorant, which it seems you do, I could use every point you made against BF and say people are just buying BF3 because of the reputation BF1942 started.

And it'll be the standard shooter until another game makes the same splash that COD4 did. Blame CODs success on the other devs who haven't made a better game that appeals to such a wide audience.

Ya, MW1 sold because everybody fucking loved it.

MW2 didn't come out the next year... and it sold because people fucking love that series. They continue to make it the most played game. People play it the most every day, every week, every month, and every year. If the community hated the game they wouldn't put it at #1 (with previous entries taking up other spots in the top 10).



I know... people act like BF is so underground. Every entry has sold millions of copies.

i enjoyed it much more than what i played on mw2/bo

i got both and never played any bf before.
but mw3 didnt evolve in comparison to other games. it is just poor

I had BFBC2 for the month that it was popular before everybody realized it sucked and went back to COD.

If you can't see the significant gameplay tweaks in MW3 then you're either trolling or never owned it.

and if you ask bf3 players today
90% of them didnt even know about bf 1942
it was a very old pc game that required a powerful pc to play cause it supported alot more players than 64

So let me get this straight. You're telling me his argument of "sales mean everything" is pretty solid compared to our argument of it's a copy and paste from MW1 to MW2 to MW3? It's based off the same engine as the one they made in 2005 for CoD4 for crying out loud... and they don't even have dedicated servers... this is 2011 we're talking about and every shooter now a days has dedicated servers.
and it's the truth, CoD kids do not have a chance in BF3. I've seen it with my eyes from my two room mates who absolutely killed my k/d in bf3 from 1.3 to .73 lol

No.. I said YOUR argument was pretty solid. And I disagree with CoD kids not standing a chance. Maybe below average CoD players don't. But anyone with a brain and shouldn't do terrible at any FPS IMO. At least that's how it is for me. I look forward to picking up BF3 someday but the only downside for me is vehicles, I'm not a big fan of them. If by CoD kid, you mean that's the only FPS they've ever played, then yeah maybe.
