buying a game on Amazon is as easy and fast as 1-2-3, especially if you have the One Click Purchase turned on.

i don't mind it cause it's not like it's hard to just say no thanks and i've always had some awesome service from eb

Not sure how it was over there but in Canada all EB's are GameStops. It could say EB on the outside but have all GameStop posters on the inside.
They have the exact same setup, and even share the same inventory. In my area there is a mall with both an EB and GameStop in it, and if they are out of something in one they just tell you to go to the other.

Oh so GameStop did indeed buy all of them. I had hope that that was not the case in Canada

I am not sure who bought who, but every location is the same be it EB or GameStop.
