Yes there are strategies and status affects that help but nothing changes the fact that they do sponge
It's fun. I had a lot of fun. It just isn't rewarding
They nerfed the Phoenix credits way too much.
The road to better gear is even longer than it already was
Yes gear should be rare and don't drop often. Fine. What's not fine is that it takes FOREVER to kill the enemies for the chance that we drop one
Take d2 for instance. Bosses are take a fair amount of time to kill and they drop every time. Good gear is rare.
Big Bosses in Warcraft take long but they always drop good stuff
Division takes FOREVER to kill but they will drop absolute shit 90% of the time
The reward/time ratio is fucking sad
It would even be better if they had just left the Phoenix credit reward the way it used to be

obviously they are going to be spongy if they died in 2 secs it would be too easy and once u get the armor down they die pretty fast
atleast you didnt pay for it i guess
