you don't find that too conventional? people die in endings all the time, it would just be another sob story.

Sure it's your cliche ending where somebody dies, but I didn't think the ending of this was great whatsoever. I honestly just felt like I went through all this bullshit for nothing... niggah just went back to Tommy's safe house at the end.

There is only one ending. The ending is a mind fuck in the respect that it leaves it to you to make your own decision as to what happened. It can be different for many people in its perception but in fact only one set of events occurred and its up to you as a RL human to justify it.

What do you mean make your own decision as to what happened??? We all know Joel lied to her, and we all know they are together happily afterwards... nothing to think about really

And do you think that's morally correct, right, could you live with yourself? Could Joel live with himself? Think about it. I know what the fucking ending is. I played it but its not a set in stone ending it still makes you think!

i dont think you understand. if certain events arent completed in the game, such as the player not picking a certain something up and examining it, or several of these objects (in a heavy combat zone) then the ending seems totally different. completely different. thats what i want to talk about.

Sorry no ones abiding by spoilers anymore I'm a little tipsy and angry since that's all out the window as I'd like to be generally cordial about it. But I get exactly what you're saying. Fact of the matter is the word seems. Yes it seems different but it is in fact not. Fact is still regardless of how many collectibles you found you still have your own idea of what did and did not happen. You believe what you morally felt like should have happened and what should not have. This is a result of the jars yet development. You know based on what you played what you believe Ellie would do and what Joel would do. More collectibles means you have a bigger picture but you still have what you as the player think in regards to what you have been groomed to think your whole life. What many who don't like the ending don't realize is you should put yourself in Joel's shoes, in the world he is in and what it means to his and Ellie's survival.

yeah ofcourse you can make up assumptions on how they are going to live, but the way it ended it really didn't leave much room for discussion since everything was pretty much set in stones. There are some games/movies that will make you think about the ending (like Inception), but this game the ending was pretty much set in stone. Joel betrayed mankind (which is pretty realistic for him, I mean he went through all that shit with Ellie so he's not pretty much her father), joel lied to her to ease ellie, and now they are at Tommy's safe house where they will live and survive.
I didn't think any further than that

4vs4 survival and both teams have 20 lives. Game is like Uncharted 3 except less fast paced.
