There are farming spots that infinitely spawns every time you do a circle. For ascendant mats do the daily heroics on lvl 28 an do a lot of crucibles.

Doing nothing other then the daily until the patch drops

Well weekly nightfall and weekly lvl 28 strike are complete. I'm one exotic armor and 9 strange coins richer

Edit: now the daily is complete too

I have the worst luck in the vault. All ascendant materials and a legendary machine gun I don't need

Also group I did it with is the same one I started with last week and they can't get it together for atheon so I need to find another group tomorrow so I can finish :/

It would be smart to kill monsters as you go just to kill time since if you do it too fast the stuff won't respawn. Just circle the areas, some chests are epic they can spawn upto groups of 9 or 10 at a time.
