i can agree just based off it one of the game concepts being about exploring
you can't really get as much enjoyment out of exploration aspects if you're just watching someone play
the absurd number of planets pretty much guarantees there will always be something new to explore and discover for potentially years, which is one of the concepts of the game, exploration and discovery
even though this is true, the objects on each planet are all the same. No matter what star system you're in, each planet is terrible similar. The unique flora and fauna are just replicated throughout the galaxies but with polka dots and different colours making them "unique" when in reality it's the exact same.
Also, all the planet conditions are alike. High radiation? Build a mod to prevent radiation. High/low temperature? Build a mod for climate control. Storms? Acid rain? Build a mod.... The climate doesn't effect the actual gameplay AT ALL. It doesn't slow movement or make it harder to see, nor is it easier to move when ideal conditions.
Conceptually the game is phenomenal, but imo, it didn't execute well enough. But I'm okay with what it is, I just don't think it's that great.
