Tried a WiiU at Future Shop as I was buying a case for my Vita. Played the new Mario.
The gamepad shows an exact 1:1 mirror of the television screen. What a joke. Why would you want that? Glad to see even Nintendo doesn't know what to do with the gamepad even with their prize horse.

for mario that's cause of the boost stuff, wouldn't be very helpful if you weren't sure where you were gonna place the platform

The person with the tablet has extra options people with normal wii motes don't get

you can tap on a location on the gamepad and make a platform appear for a short time at that location

Because people can't handle old school jumps lol
