You remain human. But people in town actually comment on it haha. They'll say like you smell like a dog or whatever.

So there aren't actual cons to being a werewolf?

you can't get a 5% exp bonus from sleeping, not really that big a deal

but you can't get vampirism as a werewolf.
and transforming in public gets you a bounty

I am playing a High Elf Mage class, I am just doing these quests to get them out of the way.

So tbh there aren't any downsides.

well vampirism gives you like bonus illusion magic i believe, but you are weaker in sunlight haha.
but of course vampirisim gives other bonuses at night too

So, in short its Vampires vs Werewolves.

I wouldn't say that, I haven't seen a single vamp yet and the only time xformed into the werewolf was to complete that Q...

Soon I'll pursue the quest to cure my bloooood.! I'm not big on being either of the two, I much rather be a humanoid.. I've never played the Argonian & Khajiit in Es games.

I've been transformed to a Vampire during the quest Laid To Rest and it sucks, I lost 30 hp points with Vampirism disease (and seeing as how I didn't put but a few points in HP already, that was critical). So even with the 25% illusion bonus damage increase I still would rather not have it.
