So I recently actually found a game that natively supported the dualshock 4 correctly
although it has button prompts that were annoying for it, but I learned what everything did by looking at the control scheme for a 360 controller (it just had numbered buttons, which made it harder to figure it out so I still prefer having inputmapper for the game just so I get more recognizable controls on screen)

and also going by this game I can assume ds4 is treated as a DirectInput controller

glad to see some games will actually work properly with it (unlike DaS2, which had them mapped wrong)
