I hate people that say that, then watch mindless re-runs of TV shows or play on their phone - Facebook/CandyCrush/etc.

At least what I play is truly interactive and many of my games actually require thought and strategy. I contend that it will keep my mind younger for a longer period of time.

idk how anybody can watch tv the shit thats on tv this generation is truly depressing tv has gone so far downhill its like underground but having cable/satelite is the norm so people pay for it
i d/l tv series and watch a bunch of episodes in a row f one a week then wait afew months for 1 a week and the movie stations always the same movies for a month 1
i fuckin hate tv if it wasnt for hockey i could definately live without it lol
specially with the internet you can get all the shit on tv and watch it when you want how you want you can stream it ect ect ...tv is getting outdated and the qualtiy of content on it is horrible

and yeah i agree id much rather paly uncharted or something then that stupid game you launch the brids into shit or something

People consume themselves in some sort of activity.
Absolutely no one just sits in an empty room all day and does nothing (and the argument could be made that is an activity too)
What makes one activity superior to an other? Why are video games any less then any other activity?

I just break it up into other activities. I read some days, netflix other days, gaming on the rest. I also listen to a lot of music and read up on headphones and gear.

Sure if gaming is your only hobby and you go home from work every day and do nothing but gaming maybe you should consider easing up. Would I say anyone is too old? No not at all but there is a difference between a hobby and a pure obsession.

its not that but now as an adult you should have a lot more on your plate than when you did previously. doubt anyone would bring it up if he played maybe ~10 hours a week or whatever
