I was thinking they left it as is instead of going over it all and changing up the look and "wasting time" in way to do it. If the game and MMO have a more of a connection then referencing the game then yeah I do agree it would be an easy transition.

Should have a decent connection, but yeah instead of completely redoing the game this also makes a hell of a lot more sense

Yeah with 2,000 years difference (MMO is 2,000 more years ahead of the game) with lore it should have a decent connection. Not sure about the game's character race choices though, 2 types of human's and elves with 6 choices in passive bonuses with picking a god you want to follow.

I took this little bit from the Reckoning forum (And no not the actor Sean Bean, even though they have the same name)

Excellent Producer Interview with Sean Bean

Soo Sean Bean said he's playing the game as an average joe right now, and just got to the end of the first region of the game and has 40 hours in so far. Also apparently that 500,000 words in the game is actually spoken dialog. The 10,000 year history RA wrote was 400+ pages long! If you haven't listened the Sean Bean Interview check it out.

Mmmm

Those kind of figures help make a game like this stand out.

Yeah haha, when I read that I was thinking yes!!! A long RPG lol. They said 5 areas so figuratively the game might take 200 hours.

True, but I tend to explorer areas/spots before I move on but it being i'm assuming it could fall into the sandbox category so there really is no telling with play styles.

Same, thats why I wonder what the 40 hours entailed, full 100% clear (all exploring etc) or just, majority or whatever

That's what i'm wondering too. During the PAX meeting Ian and I think Curt threw around the words like "huge" and I think even tossed out "massive" so its kind of hard to gauge I guess until release unless someone actually gives an estimated size. I've been reading people have been saying its huge.

this game was never meant to be an MMO, their first installment was always planned to be a single player "introduction" to the lore of amalur, to be followed later (hopefully) by a MMO among other titles.
